Sept 19, 2004

The other day Caelan made a "buh" sound for the first time. She put her lips together and said "buh." She is quite the blabberer these days. She has all the right inflection in her voice and everything -she just hasn't figured out how to get the right words out. I figure it can't be much longer before she starts spouting out all sorts of new words. She has mastered the use of "Morn," which is what she calls me. Not "momma" or "mommy" ¬just plain "morn." I love it! She is starting to copy everything we do. When we dance to music, she joins in. When we blow on our hot food, she tries to blow on hers. When we turn around in circles, she copies us right away. She is a playing machine! She LOVES to play. She especially loves when her Dad comes home and will wrestle with her on the floor. She laughs and laughs and laughs. She loves books. She will pick out a book and sit on her floor and thumb through the pages. Sometimes she brings the book to me or her dad and will plop herself on our lap indicating that she wants us to read the book to her. I'm glad she already loves the written word (or at least the pictures, right). She is quite proficient on her feet. She is so close to actually running. She really gets moving, but I think it is still a hyper speed walk she is doing. It won't be long. What a little toddler we have on our hands -what fun!
