Well, Caelan is only about 2 and half weeks away from her first birthday. The time seems to fly by, but she definitely is growing right up. Her little personality is shining all the time. She has learned how to get her way by throwing a fit. She is not too hysterical about it (yet), but she does let her lungs loose when she wants to. Usually it only happens in the evening when she is really tired. I have decided that Caelan is one of the most friendly babies I have seen. She lets anyone hold her and play with her. At first she is a little wary, and alternates glances between the new person and Mom or Dad, but it doesn't take long before she is comfortable with whoever it is (and she starts fiddling with their face, pulling at their glasses, etc). Tonight I (Mom) was at a friends house for a Mary Kay party. Caelan was getting pretty tired and she just wanted to be held, so Tyler (Jaime -my friend -husband) took her for a while. She got comfortable immediately and started playing the "I drop the toy and watch you pick it up" game. I didn't realize how unusual this is until so many people lately have commented on how friendly (and easily entertained) this little girl is (by anyone). YEAH!! I always wanted to have a child that would go to other people without have a fit. It sure makes getting babysitters easier. Well, I am sure in the next few weeks here we will have some news about teeth or first words or first steps, so stay tuned for the big stuff.
