Well Caelan had her first birthday. She is officially one year old. Holy COW!!! We had a little barbeque at the park. Dave and Diane (and kids) and Steve and Marisa (and kids) and Heather (and kids) and Britnie came. Caelan really didn't have a clue about the occasion or anything, but she loved being outside with other kids and eating all of the good food. I made her a unicorn ice cream cake. It turned out pretty good. She got some toys and books from her Great Aunts and Uncles. It was a fun day. She has taken a few steps here and there, but she hasn't tried to really walk on her own yet. The past few days she has started crawling on her hands and her feet (no knees) which makes me think that the actual walking can't be too far behind. She has really been blabbering quite a bit lately, but it is a different kind ofblabbering than before. It sounds like she is actually trying to talk about something and to someone. It is pretty cute. She says "dat" all the time -I am pretty sure she is saying "that" because we ask her "What is that" quite often. She points to things and says "dat." I think she knows what "Dada" means (who he is), but I don't think she quite has the "momma" thing down yet. It'll come soon enough I am sure. Anyway, she is just getting more and more fun... and more and more grown up.
