Caelan just went on her first extended camping trip. We camped in the Uintas in Utah, and then headed up to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We camped in Grand Teton National Park for 2 nights and then went over to Idaho and camped one night. We did some great sightseeing in Yellowstone -Caelan got her first look at Old Faithful. We were waiting for it to explode when the weather got cold and rainy. We didn't bring along any sweatshirts or jackets for the day, so there we were with short sleeves in the rain. We got pretty wet. We walked to see Paint Pots and Inspiration Point and some other interesting sights at the park. Caelan is quite the little camper -completely and totally happy with becoming a MESS. She crawled around in the dirt and ate food off the floor. She had as much fun as a little toddler can. The last night of the trip we went to stay with the Harding's (long time friends of Sean's family) in their cabin in the Idaho mountains. It was beautiful. We strapped Caelan's car seat onto the back of their quads and took her on a bumpy ride along dirt trails. She fell fast asleep within about 10 minutes and slept like a baby for the entire ride (despite the jarring and jostling). On the trip she discovered that she can put her fingers up her parents nose -and boy, does she think that is funny. She likes to pinch Mom and Dad's nose while they say "beep" and "honk." One time she was doing this and figured out that she can put her finger up the nose, which she did while giggling her little head off Now we are home for a couple weeks before we are off on our next camping adventure.
