We have been traveling maniacs this summer. Since the last entry we have gone on two more fun family vacations. In July we went over to Pismo Beach, CA for the Hugh Sorensen family reunion. After the reunion we drove over to Caelan's great grandparent Anderson's house in Winton, CA. We spent a couple of nights there. They couldn't have been happier!! It was such a treat for them to have Caelan in their home. She spent most of her time slamming the cupboards and walking around the circle of rooms. She got really fussy on the last afternoon that we were there (I think she was coming down with some kind of sickness). Anyway, that was a great trip. We brought Aunt Kyra home with us to stay for a week, so Caelan had some company in the back seat. While Kyra was here we moved houses. We still live in Provo -just in a more northern part. We love it here! Caelan was a great help while we moved (she knew just where to stand in our path -and she didn't want to be anywhere but on the stairs that we had to walk up and down all day -IT WAS ALL SORTS OF FUN). We also went to Seven Peaks (the water park in Provo). Caelan had a blast sitting in the baby pool and walking around the park. Sean took her on a tube ride with him. She was pretty freaked out -but she didn't cry (she just had a look of terror on her face). After only a week of being home we headed back down to San Diego, CA for the Crusader reunion (bunch of Mom and Dad's friends from college). Caelan got really sick on the drive down. She threw up once (no baby spit-up ... this was the real thing). Then we stopped to eat somewhere and she just emptied out her entire system. It was all over her and there was a huge puddle in her car seat. We got her out and changed her and took her seat liner out. I was feeling horrible for her. Neither time did she cry or anything ... she just got really quiet and then it all came out. She must have had a little flu bug or something (that night she had some issues on the other end), but then the next day she was good. We stayed in a condo on the beach on Solano Beach. Caelan loved walking around in the shallow part of the ocean-she was not too fond of seeing the waves get near her. After a couple of days we went up to Murrieta to spend time with the family. We went to the San Diego Zoo one day. Caelan was crazy about the sea otter. She stood up to the glass and stared in, and just talked and talked. She was sooooo happy in there. She also enjoyed the bus tour. We rode on the top level of one of the busses and looked at the animals below. She smiled and wiggled and laughed. It was great. So that is a pretty good update of what we have been doing lately. Caelan finally got her first tooth. Can you believe -it was a moler??!! Weird. We noticed it just this last Sunday, August 8, 2004 (over 14 months old). I can see a few more wanting to make there way through the gums, so we will see how long it will be for more teeth to come out. She is tons of fun....And we just recently found out that she will be getting a little brother or sister in about seven months or so. So, the joys continue!
