I think Caelan has finally learned how to say "no" -at least partly. The other day I asked her if she wanted to get out of the shower (she likes to sit in there with the handheld shower head and play with her toys). She quickly said, "mo" (yes, with an m not an n). Then she said a word that sounded a little like "play." So, I asked her is she wanted to stay in and play longer and she got her funny little grin on her face and giggled (which means "yes"). Later in the day I asked her is she was ready to take a nap and she immediately said "mo" again. We tried it out with a few other questions, and I'm pretty sure she has figured it out a little. I don't think she has the concept all the way down because sometimes she says it for no good reason (I guess that is expected from a toddler). It's pretty funny (mostly the fact that she is not even saying it right). We were feeling pretty lucky -she can say quite a few words now, and yet "no" had not entered her vocabulary. Now it begins. What fun. We went to the park the other day. We haven't been there in a while because of the holidays and then the cold weather. Caelan went crazy nuts over the slides (she totally loved them). She slid down and then would climb back up (she especially loved doing this on the small slides because her shoes could grip well enough to walk all the way up by herself). She just went up and down and up and down. A couple of times she turned herself around backwards and slid down on her belly. No fear, I tell ya. We went again today with Dad, and he chased her all over the play equipment. She was in toddler heaven. She has no problem going to the highest slide and plopping herself down andpushing herself off She loves it. She is quite the imaginative play girl these days. She carries her animal toys or her baby doll around with her and makes them walk and drink her juice and eat her crackers. It's very cute.
