Caelan is getting better and better at saying words. She still does this mumble thing (it sounds like she is saying a sentence, but it is all in this humming mumble sound). We tell her she has to tell us what she wants using words (sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't -I guess that comes with the whole learning process). It is quite funny the way she says "dark" and "light." Those are some of her favorites these days (turning on and off the lights while she says it). She has also become quite proficient in the use of"no" (with the "n" and everything). She gets this pouty little face and says it over and over again. The joys of toddlerhood. She started jumping a couple of weeks ago, which is quite a comical sight. She tries with all her might, and it takes all of her effort to get her legs off the ground (most of the time she doesn't get both of fat the same time), but she thinks it is pretty fun nonetheless. Today she is playing with Sam and Julia Boles (they are here for a while today). She really likes to have little kids to play with, but you can tell that she is an only child as of right now. She is a bit more protective of her things and she gets whiny sometimes when things aren't going exactly how she wants. She's not mean, but she is just used to having things her way (I mean there are no other kids in the house to have to compromise with). That will change soon enough. I think she does pretty well with other kids -at least she hasn't figured out the hitting or kicking thing (she has never tried to do that to someone, which is nice). Anyway, she is growing up so much. It is going to be amazing to see how much bigger she seems once we bring her little brother home (he is due is 3 and a half weeks) ... WOW!
