Grandpa Sorensen and Kyra, Corbin and Kyra were here this past weekend for Easter. Garrett and Melanie and cousin Genevieve also came down. Caelan experienced her first Easter egg hunt (inside the house). She thought it was pretty fun. Mostly she loved the candy. I had to put the baskets in the pantry on the top shelf so that they would be out of view -otherwise she would drag her little chair over to the counter or table and help herself to all sorts of chocolate. She is a definite sweets lover. She got a new Easter dress from Grandma Dick, which she looked super cute in (plus I curled her hair). It was a nice day. She loves having family here, and she can recognize them when they come. She is constantly playing with someone or taking someone's hand to escort them to her bedroom. Her vocabulary is growing and also becoming more and more clear. She started calling dogs "puppy dogs" this past week, and she says it so funny. She says the "dog" part with this really long "0" sound. It cracks me up. Her car seat was down in the living room for the past two days (we didn't have anywhere to go). Yesterday she must have spent a good few hours throughout the day buckling herself in her seat and then calling for me to "Open this" (unbuckle it so she could get herself out). If she wasn't putting herself in the seat, then she was putting her puppy dogs or teddy bears or baby dolls inside and buckling them in. Isn't it funny what kinds of things can totally entertain little kids for hours? Still waiting the arrival of a little baby brother for this little Goose. Apparently he is taking after his sister and coming late (4 days late as of today).
