We have moved to Clearfield, Utah. We are living in an apartment complex. We have a playground in the middle of the complex. Caelan is in heaven having a slide and swing right in our backyard (so to speak). She often asks to go "ou-side" to play on the "yide." She actually discovered how to unlock the front door a couple of days ago (a scary thing), so after some good effort on her part she unlocks the door and starts to walk out. Good thing she hasn't tried to do it while I am in the back room or the shower yet (we will have to get a special door knob to prevent escapes). The other day I took her outside to play on the swing set, but it had rained the day before so the play equipment had some water puddles here and there. Since that was a "mess" (as she calls it), we decided to just walk around on the grass. There is also a big basketball cement area, which had some water puddles from the rain. She was wearing some sandals and found it quite amusing to jump around in the puddles and get her exposed feet all wet. She went from puddle to puddle jumping around. I think it was also one of the first times that she has really jumped (a real jump with both feet off the ground at the same time). The things that excite almost¬two-year-olds. Another funny thing happened that night. We were all in the guest bedroom; Dad was working on the computer and I was nursing Ben on the bed. I looked over at Caelan at one point, and she had our Santa Claus doll (fairly good sized) up against her chest.... And her shirt was pulled up. I quickly realized that she was copying her mom and nursing Santa Claus. I thought that was a good one for the journal. She is quite the little talker and has a definite personality of her own.
