We had a fun getaway this weekend. We went up to the Harding's (some friends of Dads from Casa Grande) cabin in Idaho near Bear Lake. We went four-wheeling and played at the Lake for a day. We met Lani and Lindsay and Jenny there, so needless to say, Caelan was in Heaven (she absolutely LOVES her aunties). She was pretty scared of the four wheelers. Sean took her out for a ride and she totally freaked out. Then later, Jenny decided to try it out again, and this time she did okay. She was pretty cautious, but she seemed to have a little bit of fun. She had all the fun at the Lake. We took one of her floating toys, so she switched off between that and being in one of her aunt's arms (or with Sean or me). She really had to go potty while we were in the Lake, and she started fidgeting and moving all over the place. She kept saying, "pee pee Mommy." There was no bathroom anywhere near us, so I told her just to go in the water. She just couldn't do it (which I guess is a good thing -at least we know this potty training thing is working). She wiggled and wiggled until finally I put one of her Pull-Ups on. Then she could finally feel okay about going in those. It was pretty funny. One ofthe nights that we were at the cabin, we had a good thunder and lightning storm. Everyone was sleeping in the loft upstairs. She was in her pack n' play. After a while, the thunder woke her up, at which point she said, "Oh, airpane" ("airplane"). Because we live right next to the Air Force Base, we hear airplanes going by all the time, so now she thinks that every loud noise in the sky is an airplane. Since she was awake she started to pat Sean and me on the head and continually say "hi" to anyone that would listen. At one point, she let out a REALLY serious toot, and then giggled and said, "big toot." Sean seemed to wake up from his slumber and laughed his head off (a comment Dad's would definitely enjoy). She was quite the entertainer. Today is the first day Caelan has ever worn braids. I have tried before, but her hair is so fine that they usually start to slip out before I even finish. Today I got both braids done ¬what a little cutie!
