Caelan started Kindergarten. She goes to Hualapai Elementary School. She is starting off the year with a long term substitute teacher because her regular teacher is off on maternity leave. We went to the school the day before and she met both her real teacher and the sub. She was so excited to walk around the campus and check out the classroom. They wear uniform shirts (polo shirts or tee-shirts) in this district, which frankly, I kind of like. She got a backpack and we packed her a lunch (she really wanted to help get her lunch ready the day before the first day), and I walked her into her class the first day. She did great. She was happy and excited. I told her I would be there at the end of the day to pick her up (they have full day Kindergarten here, so it goes from 8:40 to 2:20). She LOVED it. She has been ready for school for a while, and she is loving it.
