Happy Halloween! We got to do lots of Halloween celebrating this year. On the 24th I took the kids to the library. They were doing their special Halloween Story Time, so I dressed the kids up. Caelan was a witch. They read a couple of Halloween stories and then went trick-or-treating around the library. Then they got to make a craft (a black cat door hanger). The kids had a fun time. On the 27th we went to our ward chili cook off. It was fun to watch Caelan and Ben - even when there are lots of other kids around these two just love to play with each other. I hope it stays that way forever. On the 29th we had a nice Family Home Evening. We went and bought two pumpkins (I pulled the seeds and goo out and Sean did the cutting). We watched "Monster House" (the kids choice) and had apple pie and ice cream. Then on the 31st we went to a great 3-ward Halloween dinner and trunk-or-treating. I LOVE trunk-or-treating activities (you get to hit up lots of cars without having to walk all over the place). Plus our neighborhood doesn't have any sidewalks or street lights, so this is a lot safer. I dressed Caelan up as Fiona and Ben was dressed up as Shrek - super cute chilluns. They got loads of candy, which I'm sure they will thoroughly enjoy in the days to come.
