We decided to head up to Sequoia National Park (our next door neighbor) and play in the snow today. We went with Dad's co-worker, Eric and his wife, Jenny and their two boys. Poor Caelan had an ear ache the whole way up the mountain - she was miserable. Once we got there the playing distracted her a bit, and she ended up having a fun time. Caelan took the first run of the day down the big hill in the sled and totally took out a boy at the bottom (this kid flipped completely over - it was crazy). We decided we better save the slipperly sled for the smaller hills. She enjoyed many more rides on the inner tube with Dad and Mom. When we decided to pack it in for the day we stopped at the cars for some hot chocolate and treats. Good day.
About a week later Grandpa and Grandma Sorensen came for a visit. We went back up to Sequoia National Park and checked out some of the sites, and then once again went to the snow hills. Kyra brought her friend, Kenzie (who also happens to be one of Caelan's favorite people in the world). It was her first time ever seeing snow, which was kind of a treat. We took a couple of short little walks and saw some beautiful sites. And then the snow playing began. Uncle Caleb spent lots of time helping the kids build a snowman. Caelan took turns (with everyone) going down the hill.
